| 26 Sep | At Last... An RSS FeedPosted by PokerBarney on 12:45PM, 26th Sep 2006Permalink | Send to a friend | |
Ooooh, two posts in one day! Well, I had to share this: I've had a couple of readers ask about RSS feeds.. but since I wrote this blog software myself, there wasn't one.
Well now there is. I was going to save this for the upcoming facelift that we're having, but I couldn't resist it. You can see a nifty new button at the bottom of the navbar that says "Entries RSS", with a flashy little orange icon. Click it!
The savvy among you will have noticed that it says "Entries RSS", implying that there will be more different RSS feeds later on. Indeed there will, clever reader :)
I've also set up "automatic feed discovery" on this page, plus I've subscribed to FeedBurner, so my new burned URL is http://feeds.feedburner.com/All-InPokerBlog. I'm not sure what this does for me, but everyone else seems to be doing it.
If you haven't noticed already, I'm a bit new to this whole feed thing. The script I wrote will show the latest 10 blog entries - is that the norm? Also, can anyone shed some light on what else I'm supposed to do with FeedBurner or anything else?
Cheers.

i think i figured it out. i get feedburner to read my rss, then i hand out the feedburner url to the world. since everything goes through them, i get proper stats on who's reading the feed. phew!
in light of this little revelation, i've added a feedburner button below the "entries rss" link. as you can see.. it's a great big 0 at the moment. sob.
