Either my cash game is improving, micro limit is full of donkeys, or I got a bit lucky. Either way, my cash roll is now up to a healthy ~$14.50, and I have renewed optimism for actually building a useful amount of money from it.
The first hand today is a bit of fun really (View this hand in the hand replayer - it didn't come out quite right, still a few bugs that need clearing up obviously. It's still viewable though). I had JJ UTG+1 and raised plenty, only to be re-raised. I decided that the chance he had a bigger pair than me was pretty good, but getting almost 3-1 on the call, I made it.
What happened next was poetry in motion. Firstly, the third J came on the flop. Secondly, I checked, and thirdly - the villain goes all in. Beautiful! Watch the replay for the full glory :)
Anyway, so the second hand is a bit more serious. In the hand previous to this one, I had ATo and raised it up 3xBB. Everyone folded and I took the blinds, showing my cards.
This hand, I again had ATo and raised the same amount, earning myself one caller who checked the flop. What's my line here? I haven't played many hands, but I've generally shown down strength. Villain is fairly new to the table, so may not have noticed - and I have no reads on him.
The flop texture was fairly good for me, one paint with a couple of rags and although there were two diamonds, the check meant he didn't hit any of it. It was hard for me to see how he could've hit it hard, it was so raggedy. If he'd called with AJ/KJ/QJ I suppose he could've got top pair, or with 22/33 made a set. Most flush draws check here, being out of position to the pre flop raiser.
Have a watch of the replay, and let me know what you think. How did I do?

hey.
yeah, i would've fired again. i've noticed a lot of low limiters like to get in and see lots of flops, but will generally give them up easily enough.
those that don't give them up are calling flop bets because someone told them about c-bets, so they assume that a bet on the flop means nothing. when you bet again on the turn they get scared and go away.

nice hand sir!
i see this happen all the time at the micro stakes games, aa going all in on the flop, its a big leak in most peoples game and thankfully you got to take full advantage of it with your set-o-jacks!

1st hand i think was pretty standard, i'm not laying jacks down preflop to reraise unless it's massive. he could easily be re-popping with ak, aks, tt+ at a short handed table. when he puts his chips in on the flop it's a no brainer, the only hands you have to possibly worry about is aqs (not so likely) or aks (possible) but even then you've got out to a full house if he's already made a flush.
in the second hand don't assume that someone who checks is necessarily weak. a lot of people like to check/call the flop then raise the turn, especially players from a fixed-limit background. look at the hand from his point of view. you raise 1st in on a possible blind steal and he elects to call, probably with an ace or a small pp, i think his range is quite large here. he checks to see what you do and you make a standard continuation bet on a raggedy board. he then min-raises you (i hate the min raise) which either means he's wanting to keep you in the hand or he thinks you've missed and a small bet will chase you away. with no reads it is tricky but you have to decide whether to come over the top of him again, maybe the size of the new pot or flat call then stick another bet out on the turn if no flush card appears. folding here isn't bad either. out of interest what were your plans for the turn had he flat called? if you missed and the card was a brick would you have fired again?
